    The USB memory stick provides several types of promotional materials for the Snickers brand, including several short video clips that comprise the Snickers \u201cOffice Hunger Challenge,\u201d discount coupons only available through the promotion, and a brand development story booklet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Sales in Just One Store increased by 28% during the promotion period as a direct result of sending out the USB sticks (the messaging and the \u201ccreative design\u201d of the USB sticks created a large amount of conversations, and subsequently sharing via social media).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The strategy used in this promotional campaign was to give away the USB sticks and link the stick to the Snickers brand product by providing links to other relevant types of media (e.g., Snickers’ brand messaging).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Lastly, there was an opportunity to keep the customers engaged with the brand by including QR codes that would link customers to an exclusive membership group where they could receive additional long-term benefits (e.g., samples).
