They\u2019re intended to store everything from our photos to datadocuments, system programs and game install packages: the computer\u2019s \u201chigh-speed electronic warehouse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like a USB thumb drive, instead of retrieving information from spinning disks inside an HDD, an SSD transmits information via electronic signals, yielding much better performance and reliability since it has no moving mechanical parts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a way, it\u2019s just a big chunk of the memory from your smartphone stuffed into a box.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.
